A new brand focus.

Coca colas most resent TV advert sows a change is focus from the associations with the product to the history and prestige of the brand. Adverts have often focused on the young customer who is interested in sport and music, often providing a promotion with itunes. This latest advert shows coca colas classy side, illustrating it is a long established brand, with a greater history that its competitors, Pepsi and Dr Pepper.

This change in tactic perhaps indicates sales are being knocked in our ever health conscious society.

I really like the advert as it is clean and makes use of all the wonderful bottle shapes. I found a similar advert to be shown in America, which uses the same formula to celebrate black history:
